Robotic gun fires on own soldiers. I found this a disturbing and sadstory of how design can go horribly wrong, and how a simple error indesign can cost lives...

turns-killerDisney to offer 2 for 1 blu-ray DVDs.This made me think how the current format war is going to be hell forparents. Their going to need two seperate players to be able to playall their kids favourite movies.

Blu-ray is much better! you can play all your existing DVD's on a blu ray player, and sometimes the DVD is upgraded to near Hi Def.

Blu-ray can hold data on both sides of the disc, and because it uses a thinner laser diameter, more data can be burnt/read per millimeter than a Hi Def DVD.

However, will history repeat itself...The Sony version of VHS was much better than VHS, but somehow it didnt take off!

Yeah, its interesting stuff.
It'll be interesting to see if film studios who have chosen individual formats will stick to their guns.....or change formats
